Multimedia Victoria
Project Rosetta, Identity Management Infrastructure
Project Summary
Project Rosetta was a project that ran from 2003 to 2005, commissioned by Multimedia Victoria, to implement a Victorian Government–wide identity management (IdM) infrastructure to provide the foundation for identity and access management across 10 government department and agencies.
Robin Anson was lead identity management consultant in the government's Design Partner team that provided specialist IdM input into the Request For Tender, the tender evaluation process and the implementation planning process.
Project Outcome
The RFT for the project—which was the largest identity management project in the southern hemisphere at the time—was released at the end of 2003. The Design Partner team developed the technical and business requirements for the RFT and subsequently provided expert advice into the tender evaluation process, which lasted a further 4 months. Following the awarding of the contract, the team provided key implementation planning documentation and oversight of project vendor deliverables. The resulting identity management infrastructure was successfully delivered between 2005 and 2006.
